More filters available in the new PubMed

The most popular filters are included on the new PubMed sidebar by default. You can now access many more filters using the additional filters link. Try it today and let us know what you think!

The new PubMed is under active development and new features will be introduced on a regular basis as we continue to enhance the system. Please note: the absence of a PubMed tool in the new PubMed does not mean it is planned for elimination.

    1. I support ‘ most recent’ as default. We teach our students that best match, is something for them to decide. not a database.

  3. It would be really convenient to have at least language and maybe also age visible on the left without having to click three times (additional filters, language, selected language). Also, please, put the article type first. like it is now, as it is more useful than text availability and – especially – as students tend to limit to free full text and leave out subscribed journals.

  4. Question: I start out in the new PubMed and when I use the MeHS database for a search I am suddenly back again in the Legacy PubMed with no option to get back to the New PubMed. it is very confusing. When wil there be a link to the new interface from MeSH database and Single citation matcher?

  5. OUT-OF-DATE

    Appears that quite a bit of the info posted on this webpage by NCBI staff is out-of-date (listed below).

    Too bad that these informational webpages also do not appear to include their own “Feedback Buttons” that would help assist in the revision or deletion of out-of-date, erroneous postings/webpages.
